Before choosing rubber tiles or rolls, describe the site and its intended use. Thickness, finish and installation must suit the product and complete floor system.
Tiles, rolls and localised platforms
Compare options using the layout, subfloor, joints and future maintenance needs. Tiles do not necessarily interlock like a puzzle, and rolls do not create a joint-free floor. Check the actual product details.
There is no universal thickness
Do not select thickness from one rule of thumb. Describe equipment, weights and use, then request a suitable complete system. Cardio areas and areas where weights are set down or dropped may need different solutions.
Separate appearance from specification
An image may show a product family or finish sample. The order should identify the SKU, size, thickness, composition and finish. For special colours or wood and stone effects, review a sample of the selected option.
Plan installation and maintenance
Check levels, edges, door movement and adjacent floor transitions. Request subfloor preparation and cleaning instructions. Rubber flooring does not remove the need to assess building loads, noise or operating conditions.
