Identify the flooring product before choosing a cleaning method. Its care instructions determine which products, tools and procedures are suitable.
Keep the product instructions available
Keep the model and care instructions with the installation records. Check compatibility before using a new cleaner and test an inconspicuous area if instructed. One cleaning recipe does not suit every rubber surface.
Match the routine to use
Plan routine dirt removal and prompt spill treatment. Choose cleaning and drying methods according to the product, usage and installation. Do not flood a floor or its joints on the assumption that all rubber systems are waterproof.
Include a visual inspection
Check edges, joints, level changes and damage near equipment while cleaning. Report movement or damaged sections to the maintenance contact and record the location. Do not conceal a defect beneath equipment or another mat.
Record the routine
Record approved products, instructed dilution, cleaning frequency and the service contact. This helps new staff follow the same routine. Investigate persistent marks or colour changes before moving to a stronger chemical.
